Matt Dillon is forty-nine — fuck OFF! Fuck! Where has all that time gone, eh… Early on in his career, he gave a spirited performance in 1983’s Rumble Fish as the younger brother of a pre-demented looking Mickey Rourke. He also starred in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders, alongside a whole bunch of other WOULDs, and thus sealed his fate as fully paid-up member of the Brat Pack. Aside from Tom Cruise who turned out to be absolutely, completely, batshit cray-cray; the other Brats are all still pretty foxy now (apart from poor old dead Swayze). Dillon shone in comedic roles such as his repellent con-man in There’s Something About Mary, but I really liked him in 2003’s Factotum as the revolting Henry Chinaski — the poorly concealed alter-ego of Charles Bukowski. Let’s hope the Monkey Man makes a reappearance this year, I like his sticky-out ears.
